Abby’s AOK – Abby’s Acts of Kindness
This post doesn’t have anything to do with websites or business, but I want you to read it!
It’s about life…and a little girl named Abby. It’s also about one of my closest and oldest friends. Three years ago Abby died from an inoperable brain tumor. She was 10 years old. Her daddy, my dear friend, Mike, keeps her memory alive with some very special projects.
Abby’s Acts of Kindness is a kind of mini movement…a mission of kindness. Mike’s family and others will be randomly distributing $5.00 gift cards to people from places such as Starbucks, Amazon, Dairy Queen and possibly other places. They will approach families in supermarkets asking if their kids like Dairy Queen and hand them an envelope that explains Abby’s continuing mission of kindness. They will place an envelope package on the windshields of cars with gift cards and telling them about Abby. To do this I am are asking you to join the movement through a small contribution of $5.00 to $10.00 to cover the costs of the cards. Your contribution makes you an official member of Abby’s Light, an amazing place on Facebook that shares the life of a little girl taken way too early. AOK and Abby’s Light are not a non profit. So whatever you decide to contribute will NOT be tax deductible. There will be no tax implications on anyones part since this is small scale and anyone that contributes receives in return satisfaction, something the IRS cannot tax!
Please help me help a friend spread a little love in the memory of an astounding little girl named Abby.
